Would anybody who is more tech friendly than I be willing to help me recover my drive?

I don't actually feel skilled enough to remove the drive and try connecting it myself.

It is an external drive and it seems that only the power supply is broken and that the drive itself will work. I have another drive to put the data on now.

I would like to get this done sometime before next week when I start school on Thursday.

How many people would be interested in Dinner and a movie on Christmas Day? Warner, Meli and I are planning on seeing Sherlock Holmes. The Times are:
7:45 & 10:45 at Van Ness
7:00, 8:00 (digital), 10:10, & 11:10 (digital) at Century.

7:45 and 8pm seem the best times for me with dinner before. But there are a few earlier showings at the mall if we want movie followed by dinner.

I'm using opentable to find out what's open either in San Francisco or the Eastbay, as calling restaurants has so far been unsuccessful. I need to get an idea of how many people want to come before choosing a restaurant that can seat us though.

So, if you would like to join us please respond.

Apparently Sushi House booked up really early today. Couldn't get reservations, so Matt and I are going to head over as soon as I get home to put our name in. Just be warned we may not get a table right at 8.

I need to recover data from a dead hard drive. It won't power up. Do any of you know anyone or any company who does this service and are reasonably priced? Is there any way I can try and recover my data for free without ruining my chances of getting it back at all?

Sigh. Apparently Wednesday doesn't work for a lot of people either? What day is best? I work until 8 (won't get home until 9) on Tuesday. Sushi House closes at 10pm. Is a weekend dinner more doable? Like Saturday or Sunday?

So I'm an idiot. Yes. And planning is not my thing. Dinner needs to be rescheduled to Wednesday at 7pm, not Tuesday.

Looks like my hamster died sometime last night/today. Poor guy was so old. He had lost half of his hair and could barely get up the tube in his cage anymore. Definitely stiff and arthritic. I'm quite surprised he lasted this long actually with his tendency to dive bomb from heights.
